Why I Updated My Bounty Structure

The old incentive structure for my growth service was simple: declare a bounty, achieve your goal, pay when ready. Results-based payment allows me to collect reliable efficacy data while also pushing me to help resolve issues as efficiently as possible, sometimes in a single session. As demand grew, I increased the minimum from $3k to $15k to stay at equilibrium.

The trouble was that growth follows different paths for different people. Some integrate insights quickly, others benefit from sustained practice and support. The old structure didn't accommodate this range well.

The new structure:

  1. You define your goals and a bounty: “If there was a magic button that could resolve your biggest blocks, how much would you happily pay to press it?”

  2. We check for fit

  3. (New) We work intensively for about a month (typically 2-3 sessions, 6-9 total hours, plus texting support); a refundable deposit may be required

  4. (New) If ongoing support is necessary, we negotiate an additional hourly rate

  5. They pay their bounty whenever they feel satisfied

The new incentive structure is designed such that:

  • You achieve your goals efficiently

  • I can collect reliable efficacy data

  • Ongoing support is available if needed
